Green Up Day Grants
Every year on the first Saturday in May, Vermont takes a day to celebrate the natural beauty of the state by cleaning it up. The first Green Up day was April 18, 1970. The special day was launched by Governor Deane C. Davis and has helped keep Vermont's landscapes and vista's pristine for over forty years!
One way we give back to our communities is by offering up to $500 to each CVSWMD member community to help them cover the costs of recycling and safely disposing of the materials picked up from town roadsides during Green Up Day cleanups. Each member town will receive a letter from the District with grant details and how to apply for the funds.
Thank you for supporting Green Up Day events and cleanups in your city or town!
