                                                              Program Manager 

                                                              SUMMARY:  This position oversees and participates in the development, implementation and coordination of the District’s Zero Waste programming, policies, and procedures.  As such, all work is expected to reflect core values intrinsic to Zero Waste, including: resource efficiency and conservation, environmental sustainability, financial sustainability, and sustainable consumerism.  Duties are programmatically focused, and include negotiating contracts, creating budgets and monitoring revenues and expenses, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, collaborating with other managers, consultants and entities to achieve the goals of the District and realization of the solid waste implementation plan for the region.  The position demands excellent communication skills both orally and written and the ability to comprehend and perceive the interests of constituent groups and to integrate those factors into existing work as well as new proposals. Compensation: $34,000-$46,000 per year, plus benefits.
