For over 20 years, Leesa has worked with public sector and non-profit organizations during periods of growth and success. Barb Baird - Administrative Coordinator & District Clerk
Barb has been with the District for 11 years and loves chatting with residents about their solid waste and the CVSWMD’s programming – no, really – so give her a call with questions or comments. She has a BA in writing, likes to cook, read and make music.
Bob Freeman - Driver
Bob Freeman is our longest standing staff member, having worked here since 1998. Bob helps keep all field operations running smoothly. Among his many responsibilities are driving for the Compost Program, making tote deliveries and ensuring all compost customers have the equipment they need, and staffing all CVSWMD collection events for electronics, hazardous waste, etc. Bob is a native Vermonter and a huge Yankees fan.
Ted Coles - Driver
Ted Coles is the lead driver for the Compost Program. He faithfully services all of our customers five days a week and delivers the food scraps he picks up to a compost facility. He excels at troubleshooting various scenarios to make operations work as efficiently as possible. Every day he is continually shocked by how much food is getting tossed for composting. In his spare time, he writes poems about the compost run.
Gwen Lyons-Baker - School Zero Waste Coordinator
Gwen began her work at the district as a school compost monitor in the fall of 2009. Now, as the school zero waste coordinator, she runs the school composting program and is developing zero waste programming for schools. Gwen graduated from the
Rubenstein School for the Environment and Natural Resources at UVM in 2006 with a B.S in Environmental Studies. When she is not working, she enjoys knitting,
reading, playing soccer, playing with her dogs, baking tasty desserts,
hiking, biking and making dog clothes out of
unwanted clothing. Gwen is a native Vermonter who loves the quiet and relaxed atmosphere in central Vermont. Gwen's assistants, Devin and Odin, work off-site.
Annette Martin - Bookkeeper
Annette has been with the district
since October 2008 as the bookkeeper. She was previously employed for 25 years
with the Department of Environmental Conservation followed by 5 years with the
