Composting & Food Scrap Recycling
Reduce the amount of trash you pay to throw away — and reduce the odor and cost, too!
About 20% of the average household’s waste is food scraps. Rather than stuffing it into a landfill or even trucking it to a compost facility, the most beneficial way for households to handle this waste is on site. And the CVSWMD offers great information and tools to help you do so easily and economically.
For businesses and schools, the District offers its food scrap collection program which includes hauling to an area composting facility.
