Read the Press Release. | We at CVSWMD are thrilled to announce that we have received $89,000 in grant funding from the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development program. The grant will fund a series of presentations, workshops and webinars that will help businesses and residents learn to recycle, compost, and understand Vermont’s Recycling and Composting Intiative, also known as Act 148. We'll be out into some of our most rural towns working with residents and businesses about the basics of recycling and composting, and keeping people updated about Act 148. The grant duration is from October, 2015 through September, 2016. Grant funding will also enable the District to create posters, handouts, and videos to distribute on social media and the CVSWMD website, cvswmd.org. The outreach materials created with grant funds will be available as open source downloads to empower any Vermont resident or organization to learn the ins and outs of recycling and composting. Businesses or community groups interested in hosting a presentation are invited to call Hemenway at 802-229-9383 or 800-730-9475 at ext 102, or email cassandrah@cvswmd.org. |
