Upcoming 3rd Saturdays are:
Electronics: The ARCC is now collecting televisions and computers. See our E-waste page for a list of statewide collection sites and more information.
Batteries & Bulbs: Please tape terminal ends of batteries. In storage, battery ends can rub together and spark unless taped or individually bagged. Please handle fluorescent bulbs and tubes carefully as they contain mercury; if bulbs break, double bag them for safe handling.

The ARCC is ADDITIONAL recycling: standard recycling goes into a bin to your hauler. ARCC Materials are different from the "statewide six" recyclables materials banned from the landfill. The ARCC is available for residents of the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District, which includes: Barre City, Barre Town, Berlin, Bradford, Calais, Chelsea, Duxbury, East Montpelier, Fairlee, Hardwick, Middlesex, Montpelier, Orange, Plainfield, Tunbridge, Walden, Washington, Williamstown, and Woodbury.

Got (Old) Paint?
Thanks to the Vermont's Paint take-back recycling bill, leftover paint is now handled for free by the paint industry, saving taxpayer dollars and handling that material responsibly. CVSWMD holds annual paint, battery and fluorescent bulb collections in district downs far from the ARCC in order to make this service more accessible to our rural residents. We also collect paint year round at our Additional Recyclables Collection Center (ARCC) at 540 North Main Street in Barre.
