Hours: (except state holidays) :  Mon/Wed/Fri -10:30 am - 5:30 pm or  3rd Saturdays - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Fees: (cash or check only)
  • 5 gallons or less $2
  • Half Cubic Yard $5
  • Per cubic yard $10
  • Food scraps $1 for less than 5 gallons, $2.50 per 5 gallons
  • Books $2 for 30 lb
  • Electronics, up to 50 lbs $1–$15 each
  • Microwaves small - $5/ large - $10
  • Floor model copier $75
  • Propane & helium tanks 75¢ for 1 lb, $3 for 20-30 lb
  • Smoke detector $5
  • Tires residential $5 or $6 on rim, commercial $6 or $7 on rim
  • CFC units (air conditioners, small dorm-style/under counter refrigerators, dehumidifiers and water coolers): $15 ea.​​
No fees:
  • Household Batteries
  • TV’s, computers, and computer peripherals such as monitors, desktop printers and scanners. Fees may apply to some non-residential customers with more than seven devices. Please call for more information.
  • ​Household paint, stain, and tile sealer (no dry or empty cans; no automotive paint or hazardous substances; no spray paint)
  • Fluorescent bulbs and tubes: 10 or fewer bulbs and unlimited CFLs are free; fees apply to more than 10 non-CFL tubes.

Read Before Visiting

  • We accept cash or check only – no credit or debit cards.
  • Face masks that cover nose and mouth are required for entry.
  • Maintain minimum 6’ distance between all others.
  • Visitor capacity indoors is limited to two customers. Thank you for waiting your turn.
  • Please sort and group like items together before arrival.”
  • Customers must unload and place materials onto carts or carry items inside.
  • Staff are not able to assist with unloading.
  • Once inside, staff will receive and sort all items.
  • Food scrap only customers pay at register inside.

*If you represent a business or have large quantities of the above items, call ahead to 802-476-1900 for fee information and to schedule a drop-off appointment:
  • If you have more than 7: TV’s, computers, monitors and/or desktop printers.
  • If you have more than 10: fluorescent lamps that are not CFLs.

ARCC Mission: Provide an outlet that can expand and adapt as needed for traditional and non-traditional recyclable materials that furthers the goal of zero waste to meet the needs in central Vermont.
