What is a transfer station?
|
Transfer stations are solid waste drop-off and collection points that accept trash, recycling, leaf and yard waste and food scraps (since July 1, 2017), as well as other materials for disposal.
All transfer stations in Vermont accept food scraps for composting. If a transfer station doesn't fit your needs, check out our list of licensed haulers in the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District. |
Some transfer stations take the following materials, while others do not. Call ahead to find out if a transfer station accepts something and what it costs to drop it off.
